Infiné, easy music for the hard to please

Eric Raynaud aka Fraction is no newcomer on InFiné. Last year, he surprised us with Superposition (iF2007) last year, a proper mini album blending empowered Electronica and abstract sounds. Since then, Fraction has kept on cultivating a strong scientific approach to his music, released polymorph projects on netlabels and recently started sharing ideas and parts with Cubenx. Here and there, mostly on some specialised blogs, you could see some mentions of “The Year of the Dog”, Guillaume Eluerd´s first album. Auto-produced and nearly self-distributed, Guillaume is rather emerging from the D.I.Y. culture.

Provoking a dialog and building on differences are the tenets of the Workshop 2009. Eric, formerly on Mary Lake comes from the indie scene. Guillaume, once bedroom producer under the name “Nimp”, went on writing folk songs. Opposite destinies versus common references, instruments versus abstraction, guitars versus laptops, D.I.Y. versus scientific approach, only a singular performance could emerge from this collaboration.
