Arandel's journey continues with an evidence, a show that fits perfectly the project: in a festival dedicated to classic, contemporary and club music: C3. Arandel is headlining the "we don't have to introduce anymore" berliner club, the Berghain, this very evening, for the C3 Festival.
The profile of this project has now crossed the Atlantic, up to Miami, where Arandel will be playing for a vernissage of an exhibition about French design. It will take place during the world biggest art fair: the Miami Art Basel, December 2.
Full of ideas but also memories, the project follows its path toward the tops. Memories that Arandel wanted to share with us via a photo collage, created after a creation and show in Foligno, Italy last summer with the Dancity Ensemble, during the Dancity Festival:
The Foligno Patchwork
Early July, we went north of Rome for a few days, in a small city named Foligno. We were invited by the Dancity Festival, to work with local classical musicians on a re-orchestration of the Arandel live project, with a string quartet, brass section and piano.
Before we left, Alexandre Cazac asked us to bring back from this trip a sort of live report, testifying of this experience, and italian encounters, in order to publish it on the Infiné blog.
Once we were there, we eventually thought that we'd rather not tell. And show instead. Documenting in a photographic way, capturing moments, that are sometimes so unsignificant, but which are the reality, the essence of a trip.
So we took pictures, a lot. Over 500 shots.
This tapestry-montage gathers 100 views on Foligno and the festival. That's what we saw. The walls, the pavement, the sky, architectures and vegetation that are creating the patterns of this mosaic.
Each of these pictures bears witness to this time that existed for a such a short moment, during which it was captured.
The size of this tapestry is wide. It's meant for being printed. Entirely, or small portions of it, if you feel like picking the ones you like most. Make it a background display. Or re-decorate your living room.
