Infiné, easy music for the hard to please

Three years ago, when Alexandre Cazac asked Eric Raynaud & Guillaume Eluerd to play for the first time together at the first edition of the InFiné Workshops, they barely knew each others and nobody could have guessed, that the duo would eventually release an LP under the Moniker, COMPOSER.

On one hand, Eric had a solid Indie background as a guitarist of the French noisy-pop band, Mary Lake, but had made his move toward Intelligent Dance Music under the Moniker, Fraction. Superposition released in 2008 remains one the finest experimental EP of InFiné´s catalogue.

On the other hand, Guillaume Eluerd had produced under the Nimp moniker some ambient ballades and demonstrated some strong skills for singing and songwriting with his own debut album “The Year of the Dog”. Both releases did not get the recognition they deserved, but caught the attention of InFiné`s A&R.

After a week spent together and a successful performance at la Carrière`s Workshops, the duo start working on the production of its debut album. If the creative process of the project took some time to find its right balance, “The edges of the World” offers an electronic sound exploration in Pop harmonies combined with quirky and thrilling vision of conventions. While their album is out this week, we are happy to announce that Composer will be presenting in Paris on the occasion of the InFiné 48h (details announced soon), december 10th their first stage performance since 2009.
