Infiné, easy music for the hard to please

InFiné célebrates the summer season opening, with Impermanence`s sun-drenched hit “PANTA REI”. This “radiant” techno track also bears Agoria’s trademark by once again striking a subtly thought-out balance that speaks both to mind and body.  This new single includes 1 brandnew Balearic version and 3 top-notch remixes by Danton Eeprom, Jon Hopkins and Analog Solutions.

Featured on the A-side, the “BALEARIC MIX” version, crafted by the boss himself, retains the essential elements of the original – an endlessly, dizzyingly spinning loop set to a terribly “caliente” rhythmic pattern, perfectly calibrated for the open-air dancefloors.

Back in top(-hat) form, DANTON EEPROM delivers a version that sees him confound expectations to distil retro-futuristic effects and a dash of new-wave nostalgia, resulting in a remix that is as unexpected as it is irresistible and should be listened to with eyes closed and hands in the air.

One of Agoria’s special favourites, the mysterious Spanish producers ANALOG SOLUTIONS, deal in a very vintage brand of aesthetics as their name suggests. No Internet, no computer, 100% analogic… but the conjuring up of labels of the likes of “Edits”, “Suprawax” or “Analog Solutions” is sufficient to let the techno purists shiver. Entrusted to the expert hands of Eduardo de la Calle, “Panta Rei” becomes more radical as lush synths kick in, alongside some disconcerting piano notes and a good old, “rough and ready” exhilarating bass line. This remix is only available on the vinyl version.

JON HOPKINS, one of the very few electronic artists to have joined the Domino roster and the co-producer of Brian Eno’s latest album for Warp, provides the final flourish in the shape of a remix that is both introspective and sturdy, available only on the digital version of the EP.
