October 18th 2008 at the “La Cité de la Musique” in Paris, close encounter of the third kind...
Two masterminds, Carl Craig and Moritz von Oswald, one gifted pianist, Francesco Tristano and one orchestra “Les Siecles” directed by Francois Xavier-Roth are interpreting altogether some of the key pieces of Contemporary Classical and Electronic. The walls between the genres collapsed to critical acclaim and this first experience gave rise to a fistful of other live collaborations in Europe between Carl, Moritz and Francesco.
This week, the trio is back in town for Versus 2.0, a new collaboration with a virtual orchestra especially created for InFiné`s Week at la “Gaîté Lyrique”. Associated with “Scale” (allegedly the first visual collective to sign on the label), both visual and sound will be projected and displayed all over the walls the main room for a 360° immersion in multicasting between Classical and Electronic world.
