InFiné is proud to announce the release of new mix of Agoria on the prestigious Fabric series for 18th April in Europe. After Ivan Smaaghe in July 2005, Agoria is only the second French deejay to deliver a chapter for the collection.
“I think I’m a baby of Fabric. They were the first people to ask me to play in England. They have always supported me and I feel like they have educated me over the years. I don't know any other series that creates such a history that never tried to be opportunistic or follow trends, they are the most relevant series that I know. Most of all fabric established itself to give a real panorama of electronic music during the last ten years. So obviously to be one of those artists contributing to this panorama makes me feel honoured.”
With his Fabric mix, Agoria pays a tribute to Techno in a broad sense. Jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sun Ra and Tony Allen drift almost imperceptibly into and out of house and techno from the likes of Carl Craig, Cottam, Space Dimension Controller not to mention a fistful of freshly and unreleased tracks from the InFiné catalog.
“This is more a journey into the techno landscape with all that the generic term techno means to me: acid, house, dub, repetitive, epic and techno! Even if I’m playing a lot of techno in my DJ set I always manage to try to mix tracks that are not supposed to fit together.”
