FRIDAY, AUGUST 20th, 2010 – DORIAN CONCEPT & TOURE KUNDA // CLARA MOTO & MIMU
The InFiné workshop is also full of surprises. On Friday, the evening is starting with a startling performance. With his improvised jazzy and groovy piano solo, Dorian Concept sets his authenticity as a musician for those who were still questioning it. Then Toure Kunda move on to their own songs in front of a vested audience. On stage, the good mood, fun and vocal control of the two brothers are fascinating.
And when Dorian Concept comes back on the stage with The Clonious to sprinkle their groovy glitch hop onto the voices of the Toure Kunda, the Senegalese duet fans seem a little startled at first but soon get hooked.
The combination of the two different universes is effective. After Thursday dedicated to contemplation, Friday focuses more on rhythm and party. Dorian Concept proves to be a virtuoso on his small synthesizer. His skill strikes a chord with the drums and the amazing brio of the two brothers who turn into a real interface with the spectators.
Clara Moto and Mimu take over in a highly-charged atmosphere for one of the first live concerts of the talented Austrian. After the mix of African groove and hip-hop, here comes the techno-groove of another stunning live performance. Adding to the unreal voice of Mimu, Scalde is joining in with a flute, playing cheerful versions of Silently and Deer & Fox. In the end the Toure Kunda brothers come back on stage as unexpected singers.
La Foudre goes on exhausting all the dancers crowding the dance floor with the help of the Toure voices. Dorian Concept and The Clonious finally take over for some more urban pieces (a little dubstep, glitch hop, …). They will stay till the end even dancing among the crowd.
After 3 days of concert and more than a week of work for some of the team, we are all setting off again, greatly amazed but with one idea clearly in mind: coming back next year for the 2011 InFiné workshop.

VENREDI 20 AOÛT - DORIAN CONCEPT & TOURÉ KUNDA // CLARA MOTO & MIMU
Le workshop InFiné c’est aussi beaucoup de surprises. Ce vendredi, la soirée a commencé avec une étonnante performance piano solo improvisée jazzy et groovy de Dorian Concept qui va ainsi installer sa légitimité en tant que musicien pour ceux qui en douteraient encore. Touré Kunda enchaîneront ensuite avec leurs propres titres devant un public acquis d’avance. Sur scène les deux frères captivent tout le monde par leur bonne humeur, leur plaisir et leur maîtrise vocale.
Quand Dorian Concept revient sur scène accompagné de The Clonious pour saupoudrer leur glitch hop complètement groovy sur les voix des Touré Kunda, les amateurs du duo sénégalais semblent d’abord surpris mais se laisseront vite prendre au jeu. La conjugaison des deux univers est efficace. Alors que le jeudi était dédié à la contemplation, le vendredi devient la soirée de la fête et du rythme. Dorian Concept s’avère être un virtuose sur son petit synthé, sa dextérité trouve écho dans les percussions et l’incroyable verve des frères Touré qui deviennent une véritable interface avec le publique.
Clara Moto et Mimu reprennent le flambeau dans une ambiance survoltée pour l’un des premiers live de la talentueuse autrichienne. Après le mélange du groove africain et hip hop, place au groove techno pour un live encore une fois plein de surprises. En plus de l’incroyable voix de Mimu, Scalde viendra jouer de la flûte pour des versions de Silently et Deer & Fox plutôt enjouées. À la fin, les Touré Kunda s’inviteront en chanteurs imprévus.
La Foudre continue d’épuiser tous les danseurs amassés sur la piste de danse avec l’aide des voix des frères Touré. C’est finalement Dorian Concept et The Clonious qui reprennent le flambeau pour passer quelques morceaux plus urbains (un peu de dubstep, de glitch hop,...). Ils resteront jusqu’à la fin et finiront par venir danser avec tout le monde.Après 3 jours de concert et plus d’une semaine de travail pour certains, tout le monde repart avec des étoiles dans les yeux. Une seule envie : revenir l’année prochaine pour l’édition 2011 !
