It’s official; AGORIA will be back in March with a new installment of the EQ Recordings’ Balance series, following previous editions from James Holden, Will Saul and Joris Voorn to name just a few.
His previous compilation for the “At The Controls” series charted at N°13 in Resident Advisor’s TOP 50 mixes of the noughties. Much more than a traditional compilation mix, Agoria reaches far into the concept of the ‘perfect equilibrium’ with his Balance mixes; compiling, mixing and editing a wide range of musical genres and sub-genres on this double album. The big Boss manages to create what may be his best masterpiece to date with his own revolutionary style.
As well as delving into his personal musical library, the project also features 11 unreleased tracks, which will be out on vinyl in the next few months on EQ recordings. Amongst them are some jewels of the InFiné collection (Francesco Tristano, Cubenx, Arandel…) as well as some of Agoria’s closest friends (Oxia) and a couple of newcomers added to the mix too (Kid A, Justin, Manvoy, Jozif, Olibusta…).
We are taking advantage of announcing this sublime mix by unveiling also the winner of our Soundcloud competition. Thanks to you we have received over one thousand entries of new fresh tracks that have been sent to Agoria. Choosing the right one has not been an easy task, but it’s now time for us to introduce the Polish duo The Same and their somewhat tricky to pronounce yet deep and brilliantly produced “Szarpiesz Minerwa”.
