bar americas in guadalajara

Guadaljara is a hard-working town, a huge food market (where you can also find pretty cheap sneackers), some liquor shops with some of the best Mescals and Tequila, first rate photographer (hi Miriam), many policemen carefully checking the road safety and allways a nice coach, where one can crash on for the night. A couple of years ago, I went there for a huge City festival where Apparat & Cubenx were playing. And with a guide of the likes of Cubenx, one can be sure to end up at the best night spot of the town. That night spot in Guadalajara is called "Bar Americas" and after having having spent four late evenings in a row there, I can confirm you, the location has proven itself quite enjoyable.
Not so surprisingly, Apparat and Cubenx were there again a couple of weeks. No doubt, those two ones like to play together and they might do it again together in Europe in the few months to come.
We love you BAR AMERICA and we want all inFiné artists to play there.

Hola,
I am sitting by my window writting a few words for the In Finé blog and listening to the final master of Aufgang's Chanel 07 EP that is coming out from this same disquera. I was invited to do a remix, and finally ended up with two!, so i feel very happy, specially after a long hiatus in music production that i had... yes, that means trouble, travel, stress, romance, and what not. But as my mother once said: "recuerda hijo, hay que reir o llorar, pero nunca aburrirse!" please translate this little piece of mexican wisdom!. Right now i am working on my first album and a new project fot Static Discos, called Blacmale to be released early 2010. So back to normal and looking forward to fresh weather in Puerto Vallarta, the place where i live at the moment. I am posting an image of my 'hood here so that you get an idea of how it looks, just add 33 celsius degrees and 90% of humidity and you are there.
It's a strange place, packed with tourists one half of the year and lacking cultural movements, but besides that it's full of nice surprises; like ending up eating tacos next to Quentin Tarantino and waking up in the beach at 9am next to a dancing Simon Lebon just to mention a couple. When it comes to creativity, musik making becomes more intimate and personal in Puerto Vallarta. This is a at times challenging when making dancefloor oriented music, having mostly reggaeton and cheesy mainstream sounds on the streets and clubs; nevertheless the daily basis of sun and sightseeing makes a perfect scenario for coloured sounds and evocative progressions. That has brought musicians like The Whitest Boy Alive to record albums here, actually a friend and part of the In Finé family will be also making music here soon, so be prepared for some euro-mex-fresh sounds for the next year.
On other local news, me and my brother are working on the sound track for a stop motion animation from the young talented Homero Ramírez, which should be ready by the end of the year (mexican time). This is the third time i make music for film/video, a craft that i am starting to like a lot.
Hoping this little text makes a nice reading, i give you here also a link for a mix that i made for a show Radio Ibero, one of the nicest FM stations in the country (along with our station in Puerto Vallarta :D ). The set includes old as well as new music i got from friends, promo and my own. Favor de escuchar al calor de una Corona.
Cesar.
