Hard to find a better illustration than the video-clip of “Spanish Breakfast” to introduce the melting relationship sustained by RONE`s music with imaginary realms. This first collaboration with French short-film boy wonder, Vladimir Mavounia-Kouka could only give birth to a Fantastic piece of work and a relevant visual metaphor for the daydreaming nature of this first album. In everyday life, Erwan Castex is making soundscapes for exhibitions, adverts or short-films, but when he starts working on his own compositions, Rone becomes the guide of an enchanted world.

After a first cut with Lucy on Curle, Rone signed a proper 12” on Agoria´s imprint InFiné and ranked among his best supporters Massive Attack 3D, Sasha, Lee Burridge and Dial´s or Border Community’s champions. "Bora" featuring the mystic statement of intent of Alain Damasio.
Vlad & Rone have a much more in common than the “Spanish Breakfast” videoclip. Best mates since years, Vlad enrolled Erwan to work on the soundtrack of his coming short film, “La Femme à Corde” to be released next year by Arte. With such a title, Erwan starts looking for a strings player… and met Gaspar Claus, multi-talented violoncello on one of his show in Paris. Gaspar has always been looking for new exciting projects. He already collaborated with poets, avant-garde musicians from Japan… Time has come to blend his strings with the emotional productions of Rone. After long studio-time sessions, Erwan and Gaspar came out with idea to magnify their new complicity with a live performance at la Carriere, friday next week. They will have from Monday on four days on site to work on what should be a very singular performance. It´s the final coutdown!

At sunrise, stuck in the last floor of his apartment in Paris, with his elbow on the breakfast table, Rone sink into his dream and ventures into a Wonderland alternately fairy-tale and nightmarish. Check this video foretaste on Vimeo "Spanish breakfast" will come out March 2nd in France, end of March/early April in the rest of Europe on InFiné. Best mate and promising French short film directors, Vladimir Mavounia-Kouka directed a couple of years ago the video of JOAKIM´s “Fantomes” and was awarded at the French short-film festival of Clermont Ferrand with “A Feu”.
