Clara Moto //

InFiné Music is pleased to present Clara Moto 'In My Dream' (Remixes) - four new interpretations including a sultry violin re-work from Clara Moto herself, a sleek Techno remix from Berlin’s Thomas Muller (B Pitch Control), while Vendredi (No Format) offers a more melodic, hazy, down-tempo version. Budding producer Ferdinand finishes things off nicely with an infectious House groove.

‘In My Dream’ originally appeared on the full-length album 'Blue Distance', released towards the end of 2013 and received wide-spread praise throughout the music press, including Resident Advisor, Noisey & Clash Magazine to name a few.

Cubenx //

Cesar Urbina leads a double life but with a single pseudonym: Cubenx

From under his techno cape, he has produced a handful of releases that have enveloped dancefloors in luxuriant sound design and translucent kick drums. And yet, when he picks up his guitar his songs are inspired as much by English post-punk and shoegaze as shamanic cults. It’s no easy matter maintaining this ambiguity in a branch of music that likes things instantly recognisable and clearly categorised. It’s even tougher when your own label encourages you not to respect any format.

Recorded in his studio in Berlin this winter (the same one frequented by Rone and Clara Moto), the four tracks on "Mercurial" are Cubenx’s last…

We : Mantra //

In August 2012, InFiné suggested a collaboration between French musician Don Niño and Mexican electronic musician and producer Cubenx. At the InFiné Workshop (La Carrière du Normandoux) the two musicians revealed a hypnotising first creation, wrapping ancestral sitar riffs into layers of keyboards and minimalist electronics. This first experience encouraged Don Niño and Cubenx to create the project WE:MANTRA in 2013, further enhanced by the addition of installation artist Antoine Schmitt.

WE:MANTRA combines music and video art. Musically it is centered around the Indian sitar and vintage analog keyboards laid out over electronic minimalist rhythms. The nine “Moods” of traditional Indian music are explored by the musicians…

Fraction //

In June 2013, Fraction and visual artist Maotik, in co-production with the Société des Arts Technologies, presented DROMOS at the MuteK festival in Montreal. This was a new type of audiovisual live show in an immersive space dubbed the Satosphere. Inspired by “Dromology”, the science of speed devised by French intellectual Paul Virilio, the performance consisted of eight coherent aesthetic segments that distort the visual and sonic properties of the environment to immerse the audience, placing them at the centre of a 360° multichannel sound system combined with projections. It is a blueprint for live shows of the future. Praised by the press and public as one of the festival's highlights, the event caught the attention of Apple…

The Human ear has a 360° nature. The “head shadow” assesses the temporality and spatiality of an audio event. Sound Engineers have been searching for the best recording and broadcasting techniques to recreate this feeling of reality in sound. They first focused their studies in studio environment and then slowly developed 5.1 sound system for Home Entertainment. Now, they will bring it to our headphones.

« Binaural » is quite old word dating back from the late XIXth century. It's based on the dual perception of our human ear (level and time). It also studies the way sounds travel and are assimilated by our brain. The result is a psycho-acoustic experience, which spatialy transcends normally recorded stereo.

Interestingly…
